Good news! We're sponsoring this years Tyne Tees Slam Jam. As you may know, we're huge fans of skateboarding here at Reap Jiu-Jitsu, and with Brazilian jiu-jitsu comps looking like they're in hiatus for the foreseeable future we thought we'd give back to the skate community.
"It's that time of year when we plot and scheme on how to get the North East skate scene together for yet another Tyne Tees Slam Jam (number 7 if memory serves).
Corona tried to mess up plans so we're gonna switch it up this year.
Instead of a full day Jam, we're throwing a month long jam throughout December.
Here's how it's gonna work:
Film a trick or line at 4Motion Skatepark during November, during any session (sessions times posted on this event), and submit it via Instagram to be in with a chance of winning.
The different categories will be announced nearer the time.
** All submission to be done via Instagram (if you don't have an account, ask anyone with an account to film and upload for you)
** All submission need the following tags:
** You must tag the following (minimum of the first 2): @shredthenorth @4motion_darlington + (@legacyskatestore or @nativeskate) + your filmer (insta-etiquette 101 peeps)
Thanks again to @4motion for being down to host another event in these trying times. And also legacy and native skate shops for their continued support. It's been 7 years you know!
You have the rest of November to practice and spread the word. Rumour has it there'll be some features added to the park just for this event as well. So stay tuned and make sure you get through.
Social distancing guidelines have to be followed at all times.
See you on the Slam Jam shred real soon.
